I found this picture of me and my little brother posing with the Pikachu Bug-Car. I don't remember what year it was but it was during a Pokemon convention at the Glendale Mall. They had Pokemon card tournaments, gift shops, giveaways and looping television screens playing the cartoon.
One of the things that comes back to me from that day is the amount of spoiled white children running around. Kids where flopping on the ground screaming their lungs outs because mother did not buy them a backpack with Squirtle on it. Little girls cried because they did not want to be there anymore. They thought Pikachu was cute but quickly became bored. All the parents seemed bored.
