Okay so what exactly is a freestyle?..........




What ever happened the authentic "Off the top of dome" lyrics? It transformed from this once limited but necessary skill to a prepared written down rap. When ever I see most battle videos I can read the thought process and the body language that match the words. It takes creativity, speed (on a neuron level), style, rhythm, timing, energy. Anyone can just write something and have it prepared but who can have something custom made for a certain subject or person? Who can use his words and have them play with his surrounds? Who can sound smart and gangsta at the same time? Who can tell the story that has to be told? Who can can spit ill shit that people snatch up like gold? Not many.

How "free" can a freestyle actually be before something rehearsed enters the room? 70%? 60%?
